弊社代表坪谷ニュウエル郁子が理事長を務めるTIPSのクラウドファンディング開始のお知らせ

弊社代表坪谷ニュウエル郁子が理事長を務めるNPO法人「東京インターナショナルプログレッシブスクール」（TIPS）が新校舎設立に向けてのクラウドファンディングを開始しました。

TIPSは、日本に住む外国人駐在員のお子さんで、主として発達障がいや学習障がいなどの“個性”を持つ中学生・高校生のための小さな学校です。
こうした”個性”のために、一般的なインターナショナルスクールなど大人数の授業が前提の学校に通うことができず、また言語の問題から日本の学校にも通うことができない子どもたちに、少人数での授業を行い、一人ひとりの個性を活かす教育を設立から20年間行ってまいりました。
その結果、卒業生の８割が大学進学を果たすなど、子どもたちが自分の道を見つけるための支援が可能となっています。

TIPSには大きな課題があります。それは施設の老朽化です。現在東京都目黒区に築70年の施設を借りて校舎として使用してきましたが、深刻な老朽化が進んでいます。
そこで『個別教育のモデル校』として日本の社会にも貢献していくことを目指して、二子玉川に移転・新校舎建設することになりました。
より良い学習環境の整備のため、新校舎における音楽室、科学実験室、ライブラリー、アートの整備等の資金を、クラウドファンディングを通じてひろく皆様にご寄付をお願いすることとさせていただきました。

Today, we are asking for your generosity in helping to rebuild our new school facility via this cloud funding project.

TIPS is an international school for grades 4 – 12 that provides alternative education for students with mild learning differences and students with academic, emotional, and/or social challenges. TIPS has proudly served the needs of this community since its founding in 2000, and we are proud of the expertise of our staff and the results of our program. Small classrooms of up to 10 students enable our students to receive extensive attention and support from teachers. Approximately 80% of TIPS graduates attend post-secondary institutions worldwide.

The TIPS community has long endured difficult challenges owing to its aging facility. We have decided to move and build our own facility to be an exemplar school for special needs students.

TIPS now, more than even, needs your generosity in the form of a donation to help build a music room, a science room, an art room, and a library.
